Meghan is an ambitious entrepreneur with a wide variety of business experience. She brings her knowledge and experience as the owner and founder of various successful ventures to every project. She has an ever growing passion for entrepreneurship and especially early stage ventures.
Founding her first prosperous business, Fogged In Bookkeeping, as a single mom at twenty she understands all the struggles of launching and managing a business. Fogged in has grown 800% in the last five years and now continues its mission to provide quality accounting solutions for small to midsize businesses throughout America and abroad while creating meaningful jobs for women and continuing to push the evolution of bookkeeping.
Her follow-up venture, Eastern Light Advisors, was founded to connect early stage angel investors with quality ventures as well as to provide holistic advisory services to those ventures. Founded as an answer to what she saw so many businesses and non-profits grappling with, Eastern Light Advisors has proven the theory that there are many great ideas and ventures that just need the right access to capital and guidance to fulfill their promise.
Meghan has also co-founded the Nantucket Book Festival, a multiday cultural event on Nantucket Island featuring approximately 50 events and 70+ presenters and authors. After 3 years as the events chair, Meghan has stepped back to serve as the Treasurer and business advisor. This remarkable event has grown to include lauded international authors, national press coverage and continues to grow.
Meghan teaches for Geek Girl Camps and serves on the boards of several non-profits. Meghan was awarded the Cape and Islands 40 Under 40 Award in 2012 for the region’s top young business leaders who excel in their industry and show dynamic leadership and have made a mark in the region at an extraordinarily young age and contributes to various articles and press publications. She currently calls Boston and Nantucket home.
